Fish_and_Ducks.gifWhen a business problem seem beyond resolution it often pays to look at it from a different angle.  There are many examples of pictures that encourage us to change or frame of reference and a particular expert in this was MC Escher.  Take his example of ducks and fish:

As you view the picture top down, your understanding of the picture changes from ducks to fish.  Another example of changing perception is to go to Google maps and zoom right in close. Company culture is a tricky concept to pin down.  We can all recognise a strong company culture when we see one such as Innocent Drinks for example.  They are well known for their quality smoothies (and now a range of other products), their fun packaging, friendly demeanour and their CEO, Richard Reed who appears on the TV.  Take it one step further and you could have seen TV documentaries that highlight the ground floor of their offices that has play areas for staff including a decision making wheel (stick the options on Postit notes onto random points of the wheel and spin it to get your decision!)  There is a really strong company culture.
