What is the financial year?

The financial year is a period of 12 months that the government has set for businesses to use for tax purposes. The financial year starts on 1 July and ends 30 June every year.  At the end of financial year (EOFY), businesses need to take stock of the past 12 months, review business operations and plan for the new financial year
