The biggest difference for STP is the frequency and format of reporting for businesses. As part of STP requirements, payroll has to be reported every pay run instead of annually, and all pay reporting must be done online in a specific format.
Single Touch Payroll is a legal requirement for all businesses larger than 4 employees now and will be a legal requirement for micro businesses after 30th June 2021.
