Horsham Eagles FC are delighted to announce a key sponsorship deal with local multi-award winning HR software company Breathe HR.
Part of the Sussex football scene since 2017, the agreement allows Eagles to spread their wings and fly the Horsham FC coop, making the move to new training facilities at Christ’s Hospital in time for the start of the season.
It also supports the team to produce a full women’s fitted kit (the squad have been wearing the old Horsham men’s away strip for 4 years) as well as update other equipment.
The partnership with Breathe HR will help promote women’s football to a broader audience. Recreational football is open to all; and Horsham Eagles personify this with players spanning every age from 20’s to 60’s, regularly playing in tournaments and friendlies. Alongside the recreational team, the club also boasts a successful walking football team and recently added a 5 a-side night to meet demand.
Helped by the Lionesses, interest in women’s football has grown but the organising committee at Eagles FC have found the reasons for joining run much deeper. Many enrol for wellbeing reasons; both mental and physical.
With less than one in four women hitting the recommended weekly exercise target Eagles provide a safe and encouraging space where this ambition can be met; friendships are formed, inclusiveness is central, and fitness levels and self-confidence can grow.
Eagles FC will be moving to their new all-weather home at Christ’s Hospital School, Horsham from the beginning of September and sporting their new strip for the first time at the next women’s recreational tournament at Sussex FA, Lancing.
Chairman of Horsham Eagles FC, Laura Weatherill said:
“It’s an exciting time for us with a new sponsor, new home and the new season upon us. Not only is our club a great place to meet people, and a fun way to keep fit, it’s fantastic for those wishing to reconnect with football or try it for the first time without judgement or pressure. Everyone is welcome - just come and give it a go.”
Phil Coxon, Managing Director at Breathe HR said:
“At Breathe, we believe that thriving communities and workplaces start with the same principle: putting people first. Supporting Horsham Eagles FC means backing a team that prioritises inclusion, confidence, and wellbeing; values that mirror our own. It’s fantastic to see more women getting involved in sport, building friendships, and improving their physical and mental health in a pressure-free environment. We’re proud to help create more opportunities for connection, movement, and community right here on our doorstep.”
