An inspiring partnership: Breathe supports The Springboard Project
Breathe is proud to support The Springboard Project, our charity partner and a much-loved local charity creating brighter futures for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
Founded in 1992 by a group of parent carers who recognised a lack of provision and opportunities for their children during the school holidays, The Springboard Project has grown from small community sessions into a vital charity supporting families across Horsham, Crawley and Worthing. Today, it delivers activities for children and young people aged 0–30 with disabilities, promoting inclusion, diversity, wellbeing, independence and meaningful social connection.
At the heart of this partnership is Springboard House, an essential and affordable community resource that provides a safe and supportive environment where children can develop important social, emotional and physical skills.
Breathe is proud to be supporting The Springboard Project’s Big Refurbishment, an important initiative to create improved spaces that better reflect the needs and aspirations of local families. The refurbishment will enhance the facilities at Springboard House, including a sensory room, soft play area, professional kitchen, hangout area and dedicated parent/carer space.
Together, Breathe and The Springboard Project are helping to create a more accessible, inclusive and engaging space for the community. This partnership reflects our shared belief in making a meaningful difference for local families and ensuring children and young people have opportunities to thrive.
